It says, “Constructed in 1890, this home takes its name from Andrew Warner, a real estate man and first owner. He was subsequently employed as cashier and chief clerk at the Reed Hotel, the main facility in town at that time. Since that time, it has afforded shelter as a home for common people, and yet was an elegant home in its day. Built during Ogden’s transition to modern times when a real estate boom was sweeping the country and this City was becoming a more complex municipality through civic and industrial growth, this home is a classic example of Queen Anne style architecture, a style popular in the late 1800’s. There are other homes in Ogden that have some of the vernacular of this period, but none in such a cohesive condition. This building was restored to its original design in 1983.”
